Legal
Terms of Service
Effective date: October 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of finatys.com and its public online features (the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If acting for an organisation, you confirm authority to do so. If you do not agree, stop using the Website.
1. Finatys and service agreements
Finatys is the brand shown on the Website. The legal entity providing a paid service is identified in the accepted proposal, engagement letter, invoice or other written agreement. Those terms govern service scope, fees, deliverables, professional responsibilities, governing law and disputes for that engagement and take precedence where they conflict with these Terms.
2. Information and professional scope
Website content and demonstrations are general information, not individual tax, accounting, legal, investment, audit or other professional advice. Submitting an enquiry or creating an account does not create a professional-client or fiduciary relationship. An engagement begins when accepted in writing.
Finance services depend on jurisdiction, actual operating scope and appropriately authorised personnel. Canadian and US obligations remain distinct. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, you remain responsible for decisions, source records, deadlines, filings and payments. No tax refund, savings, revenue or business outcome is guaranteed.
3. Software demonstrations
Public demonstrations use fictional data and local interactive state. They do not connect to live client systems or carry out real transactions. Examples show capabilities that can be adapted; they are not representations of approved client projects. Do not enter confidential information into a demonstration.
4. Enquiries
The enquiry form is for describing requirements, not delivering tax IDs, credentials or sensitive financial documents. A confirmation reference indicates acceptance by the enquiry database; it does not confirm an engagement, appointment, deadline or guaranteed response time. You are responsible for providing a reachable contact method and accurate information.
5. Accounts and private access
Client access becomes available only when the production account service is configured. Keep credentials confidential, provide accurate profile details and report suspected unauthorised access. Finatys may verify identity and authority before releasing records or acting on instructions. Access to a client workspace is restricted to the relevant account and authorised personnel.
6. Information and documents
You retain ownership of materials you provide. You confirm authority to supply them and permit Finatys and verified providers to process them only as reasonably needed for the engagement, platform operation and applicable legal duties. Accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of records affect the work. Sensitive documents must use the agreed secure channel.
7. Pricing, payments and software ownership
Quoted scope, currency, taxes, payment schedule, cancellation and refund terms must be confirmed in the accepted agreement or checkout terms. No unapproved promotional offer is implied by an archived page. Hosted checkouts are subject to the provider’s terms. Mandatory refund and consumer rights remain unaffected.
Software projects may use proven modules, libraries and platforms alongside custom development. Code ownership, third-party licences, hosting, subscriptions, maintenance and support are set out in the written scope. Unlimited revisions, consultation or lifetime support are not included unless expressly agreed.
8. Acceptable use
- Use the Website lawfully and respect other people’s rights.
- Do not impersonate others or misrepresent authority.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access to accounts, staff tools, data or systems.
- Do not introduce malware, bypass security, disrupt operation or probe for vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Do not submit information you have no right to disclose.
- Do not scrape, copy, reverse engineer or automate access except as permitted by law or written authorisation.
9. Intellectual property
Website branding, design, software and original content are owned by or licensed to their respective rights holders. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Website for its intended purpose. No ownership is transferred by use of the Website. Client project rights are governed separately by the project agreement.
10. Privacy and third parties
Our Privacy Policy describes information handling. Optional Google measurement, configured hosting, notification or authentication providers, and any approved Stripe checkout are governed by their own applicable terms and notices. Finatys remains responsible for duties that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Availability and changes
Finatys may maintain, correct, change, suspend or discontinue Website features. Access may be limited for security, breach, unlawful activity or legal requirements. The Website is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law, without a promise of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or a particular result.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Finatys is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from use of the free Website, including loss of profit, opportunity or data. Paid-service liability is governed by the accepted agreement. Nothing excludes or limits responsibility, remedies or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Disputes and general terms
Contact Finatys first to seek an informal resolution. The legal operator and approved governing-law terms for this release remain subject to confirmation; these Terms do not select an invented jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer, privacy and other non-waivable rights continue to apply. Paid engagements have their own written dispute provisions.
If a provision is unenforceable, it is limited or removed only as necessary and the rest continues. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability and disputes survive where their nature requires.
14. Updates and contact
Updates apply prospectively when posted with a revised effective date, with additional notice where required. Stop using the Website if you do not agree to revised Terms.
The contact email supplied for Finatys is contact@finatys.com. It must be confirmed as monitored before publication. The contracting entity and service contact are identified in engagement documents.
